AUBURN, Ala. - The contractor for a development at East Samford Avenue and Wrights Mill Road is preparing to perform improvements to public infrastructure beginning June 12 through mid-July.

This work involves demolition of curb and gutter and sidewalk along the development to add a right turn lane on Wrights Mill Road at East Samford Avenue. During periods of demolition and concrete pours, there could be temporary lane closures to demolish and install new curb and gutter, asphalt for the new turn lane, and the new sidewalk. The contractor will be working adjacent to the street at other times to perform grading and prepare forms for the new sidewalks.

The contractor will work expeditiously to perform the improvements and get the sidewalk open and turn lane complete with the least impacts on drivers and pedestrians in the area. The contractor will have traffic control personnel to aid in keeping two-way traffic flowing at all times during this work.

The Samford Pool will be open and accessible from the Wrights Mill Road entrance. The City thanks the public for their patience during this project.
